Ever since the Year-End Exchange, ICW has been great. It's also been a very chaotic place to work, to say the least. Factions taking control of entire federations, sometimes with chairman support...hostile leadership takeovers...firings...hirings...invasions...it's been insane. You know, the real draw around here is the wrestling. The reason people keep coming back isn't to see the Undertaker freeze Kane's urn in liquid nitrogen and shatter it. People keep coming back for the great wrestling, the great rivalries, the great wins and the great defeats. THAT is the heart of ICW. Not which Icon is in charge of which federation. Not just how crazy gimmick matches have become in order to top the others. No, it's not the fancy stuff, it's not the details of each wrestler's sordid past, it's not the bells and whistles. Those are extras. Those are fun. But those are not the reasons people watch ICW. ICW is the greatest wrestling promotion of all-time simply because of the talent inside the ring. We care about these wrestlers because ICW treats them right, gives everyone a chance to shine, and always seems to fall back into place, no matter how crazy things get.

ICW is the only place you can go for great wrestling right now...but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's happened that way before, and it was handled much worse. Now, one of the chief players in the near-death experience of this entire business has managed to slime his way back into wrestling. Vince McMahon...Vince has played off of Tony's desire to get back into the business by any means necessary, and now he's living the high life and using his power to put the people he favors in the places he wants them. It's no longer a federation run by a chairman who listens to the fans, who knows what really works in today's wrestling world. It's the man who bottomed-out his own company, bought out the competition that used to keep him sharp, and became a pathetic, show-ruining cartoon character. The man who pushed his own family over the people fans really wanted to see. The man who let his personal grudges keep top Superstars away from titles, great matches...hell, pretty much any meaningful exposure at all.

ICW is halfway through its second year, and looking ahead towards year three, now that I'm firmly in charge of the overall direction of the company, I have a vision for ICW that's more in-tune with what the FANS have come to expect from us. With what's right for the business.

ICW will once again be about freedom. Not slaving away under dictators like Vince or Tony or Stephanie or Ed. Chaos started as a place where wrestlers could request their own matches, have a hand in the direction of not only their careers, but also the company as a whole. It was a creative, innovative approach, and lots of great athletes who would never have gotten the time of day in the past now had an outlet. And until this whole takeover mess started, Chaos truly had fulfilled its promise of "stealing the spotlight" from its more established ICW brothers. Explosion and Aggression had a real rival coming up, perhaps one that would revolutionize the industry, gaining a devoted following like ECW circa 10 years ago. And now...well, it's still strong, but suffering due to the lack of Tony's creative vision and Vince's bottomless pockets.

As Chief of Operations of Icon Championship Wrestling, I swear I'll never again lose sight of what's important. I'm going to make sure ICW doesn't collapse under its own weight. I'm going to right the wrongs, deal out retribution, and build for the future responsibly. And I'll always keep the fans in mind.

Shoot off on any ICW brand!

Unlike some wrestling federations that shall remain nameless, ICW actually cares what you think!

E-mail ideas and/or comments to:

Note: A good number of the characters used are the property of WWE, or of former wrestling federations, though Vinnie Mac, admittedly, has probably purchased them by now.  We're in NO way affiliated with WWE or any other federation, this is purely fictional and just for fun!

Other than the people and gimmicks, that already exist in wrestling, the ideas and storylines on this site are those of Ed Moorhouse and Tony Sadowski, AKA, Icons 01 and 02.

The Icons are named after a few friends, but are really fictional characters, nothing like the actual persons.  We're much less cool in real life.  Obviously.
