ICW-R: Apocalypse Card:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Victoria (c) v. Waltman v. Spike (4-Way Hardcore Grudge Match)
Victoria, at ICW-R: Retribution, managed to snag, through a legal loophole having to do with the Hardcore 24/7 Rule, the Hardcore Championship. Thrown in as a last-minute surprise, Victoria pinned Bubba Ray with 2 seconds on the clock...but the third count came after the 15 minute time-limit had expired. 02 ruled that Bubba indeed won the 6-Man Hardcore Time-Limit Challenge, but that Victoria's pinfall stood, because the title is always in play and a licensed referee made the call.
Victoria defended the title on a number of occasions, managing to hold on to the title until losing it to the undefeated Tazz before Total Warfare, where he successfully defended the title of ICW Hardcore Champion against the amazing Vengeance manbeast, Rhyno!
3 weeks ago, Tazz became the Heavyweight Champion, riding on adrenaline and crowd support following several big wins. The stipulation for the match was, if Tazz became the Heavyweight Champion, the Hardcore Title would be vacant and there would be no champion until a proper course of action was determined.
Victoria, having defeated multiple male competitors in her quest to hold on to the respected ICW-R Hardcore Title, and recently becoming much more reserved and stable (being able to take out her pent-up aggression/insanity in the Hardcore Matches), began to work with Trish Stratus to mend their long-shattered friendship and partnering with the Innovator of Violence, Tommy Dreamer in Mixed Tag Matches.
But the joyride would soon end. Victoria, in a match with Dreamer against Sean Waltman/X-Pac and Ivory, was hit in the head with a violent chairshot by Waltman, leading to not only the loss of the match...but her identity as well. She returned to Revolution bandaged and bloodthirsty, crazier than ever. Trish was the victim of a brutal assault by her former-new-former friend, and has sworn to return Victoria to sanity once again.
Victoria has sworn to destroy X-Pac, in a violent revenge plan that she doesn't fully understand the reasons for herself.
X-Pac, recently, has taken to harrassing and challenging women, then offering them a chance to get out of their matches by offering him sexual favors. Trish, the Women's Champion, wrestled X-Pac on Revolution to teach him a lesson, and to avenge the damage he caused Victoria.
X-Pac also recently cost Spike Dudley a big win, causing a rift between the famous heel-jobber duo.
Now, all four combatants square-off in a 4-Way Grudge Match to settle some scores...and to climb higher towards the revered Hardcore Title.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Tajiri (c) v. RVD/Hurricane (TV Title, TLC Match)
Tajiri is one of the most energetic, daring and exciting superstars in ICW. He is also the Television Champion, as chance would have it.
Rob Van Dam is a member of the diabolical, one-for-all and all-for-no-one Four Horsemen. He has his sights set on proving his in-ring superiority, as well as proving that the Four Horsemen are made up of the four greatest wrestlers alive today. A Television Title reign, the title he held for over 2 years in ECW, will definitely prove that he is the best in the world at what he does best...high-flying, ass-kicking, action-packed martial-arts style matches. That, and holding TV Titles effortlessly, defeating any challenger who comes along, no matter how tough...with a little help from his friends, of course.
Hurricane has been a staple of ICW-R since the federation began. Pushed right away and often opening a Revolution show to set a fast and exciting pace, he is a fan-favorite who would love to finally hold a major ICW title. Will this be his chance?
Oh, and by the way. Since the champ is a former ECW star, this challenge will take place in a TLC Match...will it be a battle for the ages between, arguably, the two greatest ECW wrestlers of all time? Or will it come down to martial arts versus Hurripowers, beeyotch?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Kidman v. Orton (Cruiserweight Title, 3 Falls Match)
Billy Kidman is the high-flying, moonsaulting Crusierweight champion. Randy Orton is a cocky young rookie who oozes promise and is a recent defector of Vengeance, where he feels he was never given the chances he deserved for a wrestler of his caliber.
Orton is also a Horseman...and he has his eyes set on greatness. Orton wants to go down in history as a legend as great as Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, or even Ric Flair, who Orton and his fellow Horsemen destroyed when they turned heel big-time and added the vicious, chair-toting Chris Jericho in Flair's place, making their group a truly dominant force on Revolution.
As the other Horsemen attempt to take care of business to establish the Horsemen as serious business, Orton will be attempting to solidify his place in the annals of wrestling history...by winning the Cruiserweight Title from the talented Billy Kidman.
Kidman accepted Orton's challenge backstage at Revolution, and 03 signed the match as a true test of wills...a 3 Falls Match! Iron Man rules are in effect...first competitor to score 3 falls on his opponent will be declared the winner and will take home the prized ICW-R Cruiserweight Title!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Kane v. Nightmare
The Big Red Machine made a HUGE impact in his first appearance as an ICW-R superstar! Bringing in the creepy and vaguely disturbing Paul Bearer, he claimed the Dark Power of the Urn that the Undertaker had been using to reestablish himself as a main eventer again. Following Taker's match against Mankind at Total Warfare, it was starting to look like the aging wrestler had some tricks left up his sleeve and the Dark Power was truly returning him to greatness...until...the Power was stolen by Paul Bearer and given to Kane.
No one knows the true power of the Urn, but Bearer somehow controls it...and he's squarely on Kane's team. The Big Red Monster showed his new-found power by crushing his possessed, but loyal lackey, Goldust (formerly Undertaker's Dark Disciple).
Then, a voice unheard-from for much of his career in ICW made it clear that its own was the true Dark Power. The voice belonged to the Fallen Icon, Nightmare! After severing ties with the Paynes (they had become faces after the fans cheered them for winning the Tag Team Titles, and laid him out after the match), Nightmare was determined to wreak his brand of evil on the poor Revolution superstars.
In this Unholy Clash of Dark Powers...who will reign supreme? Will Nightmare become Kane's next victim? Is Kane unbeatable, as the Undertaker claimed following his forfeit of the Urn?
Will the Undertaker, with his new friend and partner, fellow-veteran wrestler Tommy Dreamer, find confidence in hiimself enough to eventually challenge his younger brother Kane?
Tonight, Nightmare and Kane fight to see who is truly ICW-R's most evil and powerful monster.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Benoit v. Flair
Ric Flair retired from the active roster to become the full-time business associate of the Icons, cultivating upcoming talent and helping run Revolution along with Chairman, Icon 02.
Spotting tremendous talent in some individuals on both ICW rosters, he used his pull with 02 to request the services of RVD and Orton be brought to Revolution in the Year-End Exchange. Big Shot gave Flair the green light, and Flair promised to turn these men into the biggest names on Revolution.
Flair had been dealing with the shady Chris Benoit in a bid to reform the Four Horsemen in ICW. Flair decided to step back into the ring and go after his 17th Heavyweight Championship with his newfound help. In exchange, he would use his standing and legend status to bring them to the top of the federation for years to come.
The Four Horsemen seemed an unbeatable duo...to everyone but Benoit, Van Dam and Orton. They viewed Flair as old and irrelevant...and schemed to kick the Nature Boy out of the Horsemen immediately after finding a suitable replacement.
Benoit, who had been scheming since Flair first approached him with the idea, had been planning to bring Chris Jericho into the group all along, and on Revolution in Wilmington, DE, Flair was demolished in the ring by the Horsemen and Jericho following a big match against disgruntled veterans looking for respect, Undertaker and Tommy Dreamer.
You can knock Ric Flair down, but he'll always get back up. Flair's fighting spirit and outrage at this great disrespect, the theft of his Four Horsemen, caused Flair to ditch plans to Special Referee the Main Event (even though he could screw Jericho over and leave the Horsemen with pie on their collective face) to challenge Benoit to a match over honor, respect and history.
Benoit, disliking Flair's squeaky-clean idea of the new incarnation of the Horsemen, has stated that the new group will be cheap, dirty and tight-knit...and tonight, he fights to prove his point: Make sure you have someone you can trust watching your back, because otherwise, all Four Horsemen will be stabbing it on their way to the top!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Tazz (c) v. Jericho (Heavyweight Title, Spec. Ref: Mr. America!)
Tazz has been a great champion and superstar in every respect. A good man who fights hard, gives his all in the ring, and always pleases the fans, has finally become Heavyweight Champion.
But winning streaks can only last so long.
Chris Jericho, outspoken and aggressive "leader" of the Four Horsemen, plans to take that prestigious title and show the world he's the TRUE Highlight of the Night!
Jericho, the only Grand Slam Champion in ICW history, has an ego to match the size of his mouth and just as much skill in the ring.
Tazz, a hard-nosed brawler who worked hard to get to the top of the wrestling world, is not about to let his reign be so short-lived...especially since Jericho tried to seriously injure his legs in a match on Revolution.
Tazz is in it for honor and revenge. Jericho is in it for himself...and to show that the Horsemen made the right call by ditching Ric Flair and accepting him as the new member.
However, Flair was supposed to be the Special Referee for this match. Because Flair is wrestling Benoit tonight, he turned down the honor to focus on his match with Chris Benoit.
Who will ref this Main Event for the ICW Revolution Heavyweight Championship?
02 promises that he has found a suitable replacement...and he WON'T disappoint.
