-Raven (c) v. Dreamer -- Ladder Match, Fusion Championship
-Dreamer and Raven...one of the all-time great wrestling rivalries. Both men ICW champions. Both men ECW legends. Intense hatred between them has existed for nearly 10 years, and the fire in their eyes as they come to the ring shows that, as heated as their feud has been...we haven't seen ANYTHING yet! Sulky Raven takes his usual spot in the corner of the ring, staring at his shoes as he leans, motionless against the turnpost. Dreamer, eating up the appreciation of the fans, enters to his hard-rock theme and walks through the crowd, carrying a ladder for the match-up. He sets it up, posing atop the ladder in a sea of screaming IC-dub fans, in an image that can only signify a great and epic battle ahead. His entrance to the ring takes a good 5 minutes, and by the time he is in the ring, the fans are frenzied and Raven is staring at him, disgusted at his clowning. The fans cheer and buzz as Raven comes to his feet, walks over to Dreamer for a stare-down, and slaps the teeth out of Dreamer's mouth with a HARD smack! Dreamer, holding his cheek, breathing heavily to the point it looks like fire is about to burst out his nostrils, curses at Raven, and the two are in a nose-to-nose shouting match as the crowd is DYING for Dreamer to strike back! Dreamer winds back to throw a punch at Raven, and the pop from the fans is met with a groan and a long boo as Raven kicks Dreamer in the nuts and slaps him again. Raven runs across the ring, bouncing off the ropes for a drop-kick to the kneeling Dreamer's face. Dreamer flips over backwards from the impact, and Raven, showing anger and rage uncharacteristic to his personality, begins to stomp and choke Dreamer. He gets up, heads to the top, and jumps to drop a leg from the corner, when Dreamer rolls out of the way to a big pop! Raven cringes in pain on the landing, holding his most sensitive of areas, and Dreamer, feeding off the fans, gets back to his feet, snapping and screaming with rage as he comes back to life and does the same pattern of moves on Raven, only HITTING the leg drop! The fans are loving every second, and Dreamer sets up the ladder, only to stop half-way up and drop an elbow on Raven. Dreamer picks Raven up to deliver the finishing DDT...but Raven reverses the move into a slam of his own. The match continues to go back and forth, the two trading hard shots and power moves, and attempting not to win, but to hurt eachother. Dreamer folds the ladder and runs at Raven, who is by the ropes. Raven drops straight down, dodging the blow and causing Dreamer to crash hard outside the ring onto the ladder in his arms. Dreamer is in extreme pain, and Raven heads to the top to drop a successful leg drop on Dreamer (on top of the ladder!). The fans are chanting for Dreamer to get up as Raven takes the ladder into the ring and slowly sets it up, stumbling as he climbs rung by rung towards the belt! Dreamer struggles to his feet, slides into the ring, and pushes the ladder, but Raven jumps at the last minute, hitting a DISGUSTING-looking HURRICANRANA (!!11) on Dreamer from 15 feet up! The crowd is stunned and starts the "HOLY SH*T!" chants, and the two lie on the mat, barely moving. Raven comes to his senses and crawls to the ladder. Using the ropes, he pulls himself up and sets up the ladder. He begins to climb, and Dreamer, SOMEHOW, to a THUNDEROUS POP from the fans, manages to climb the other side! The race for the Fusion Championship is on, and the tired, beaten combatants brawl at the top of the ladder, each wobbling a bit, but neither falling! Finally, Raven dodges Dreamer's punch and grabs his head, slamming the face of the Innovator of Violence into the top step of the steel ladder and sending a stunned Dreamer crashing to the mat. Raven reaches up, grabs the belt, and unhooks it, retaining his Fusion Title, and leaving the formerly-mixed crowd cheering in a standing ovation after this tremendous opening match of the night! Raven throws the belt over his shoulder, climbs down, then looks down at Dreamer, who is slowly working his way to his hands and knees, and up at the ladder. Raven quickly stomps Dreamer back down, grabs the ladder, then climbs, LADDER IN HAND, to the top turnbuckle! Raven jumps off the top, holding the ladder under him, and lands STEEL-ASS FIRST ON DREAMER!! The crowd boos him as he laughs and limps back up the ramp, leaving Dreamer a crumpled heap in the ring, surrounded by medical technicians!
-Backstage Babe Ashley Britcher stops Raven and asks him why he did such a terrible thing to Tommy Dreamer after he had already beaten him. Raven responds, "The Raven does what the Raven wants. And the Raven...wants Tommy Dreamer INJURED PERMANENTLY, OUT OF THE RING FOREVER! I will not REST...until this feud is finally settled...with RAVEN coming out on top in the end. And the only way to win a battle like this...is by TOTALLY ELIMINATING MY OPPONENT! So I say to you, what I did to Tommy Dreamer tonight is NOTHING compared to what I have in-store for him...quote the Raven...nevermore." Ashley is scared and confused, and sends it back to Mark and King, who tell us Dreamer was taken out on a stretcher, and is on his way to the local hospital. King praises Raven's intensity, Mark says he went too far, and...a grinding, screeching rock theme blares, signifying the entrance of THE DARKNESS! Time for match two!
-Hype (c) v. Darkness -- Duo Championship
-The Darkness is out first, walking to the ring ominously as a green fog fills the ramp and ring area. The crowd boos the heels, who sneer at them hatefully. Infinity, the former face, threatens a few fans on the way to the ring. As the Darkness settles in, the energetic, hyper music of the HYPE hits, and the great fans let loose a BLISTERING pop for the champions! So long-undefeated on Revolution, and winning the belts right away on Explosion, Benjamin and Haas are a great tag team, and the fans are very much behind them. Infinity and Nightmare came out of NOWHERE, and both are intense POWERHOUSES with a dark mystique. One thing's for sure...either team could win this clash of wrestling styles...and with Infinity and Benjamin starting off the match, the crowd begins to heat up as the quick competitors circle eachother around the ring. Infinity is a powerhouse, of course...but is also very light on his feet and skilled in technical maneuvers. Benjamin charges, rolls past Infinity, gripping his leg and rolling him up into a hold right away! The crowd is behind the faces, but Infinity isn't in the leglock long...he powers out, then hits a string of brawling punches and a BIG powerslam on his opponent. Outside, Haas is getting the fans into it, and Nightmare watches, evil-ly. Benjamin is in a bad way after Infinity leaps off the top rope as Shelton is charging, catches his head, and uses the force to SLAM the back of Benjamin's head down to the mat hard after flipping over the top! Infinity goes for the pin, but it's broken up by Haas. The ref yells at Haas to get out, and Nightmare and Infinity work over Benjamin in their corner, no-tagging Nightmare in. Nightmare hits a string of suplexes on his opponent, and grabs the poor sap's legs and arms for a vicious standing abdominal stretch-looking move, causing Benjamin to scream in pain! The move is on for a while, until the crowd starts to cheer Shelton and he "hulks" out, slipping behind Nightmare for a quick belly-to-back suplex! Benjamin, collapsing after using the last of his energy, digs deep to crawl to his partner, and the audience explodes as he makes the tag to a fresh Charlie Haas! In comes Infinity, Haas clotheslines both repeatedly, running the ring...then calls for his finisher! He locks a submission hold on Nightmare, who is about to tap, when Infinity slips around the ring and pulls his partner outside, breaking the hold! The ref flips out on Infinity and threatens to DQ Darkness, and he acts innocent, heading back to the corner and apologizing...what a bastard! Nightmare gets up on the apron, where Haas is waiting, and is met with a suplex into the ring! A quick cover and a 2-count pull the crowd into it again, and Haas continues to work Nightmare with holds. Benjamin, back up, rested in the corner, is unaware that Infinity has crawled around the ring and is behind him! Infinity yanks Benjamin's leg, tripping him and hitting his chin on the apron! Benjamin clutches his jaw on the floor, in pain, and Haas breaks the hold on Nightmare to point out the situation to the ref. The referee checks on Benjamin, and Infinity runs into the ring, hits his INFINITY PUNCH on Haas, sending him flying across the ring! Haas is down and out, Nightmare crawls on top of him, and the ref turns around just as Infinity gets back in his corner for the pin...the new Duo Champions are the Darkness! Haas and Benjamin get up slowly and are disappointed as they head up the ramp. Nightmare and Infinity pose, lights out, and they're gone in a puff of green smoke when lights come up.
-King talks about how mysterious and cool the Darkness' exit from the ring is, and Mark says it was an excellent match, but the refs really have to be more on top of shady tag teams like the new Duo Champions, so wins like that don't happen!
-The Horsemen are living it up, complete with Jericho, bandages and all, back in the skybox! Jericho tells RVD, who is doing a split between two chairs, to kick Lynn's ass tonight so bad, he'll forfeit the rest of the Best of 5 Series. RVD smiles and tells Jericho he's got it under control and that he'll PROVE that Jerry Lynn is a NOBODY compared to ROB...VAN...DAM! Benoit, who dropped the Extreme Title to Dreamer on Monday, says he can't get over how sweet it was watching Raven kick Dreamer's ass earlier, and that he can't wait to see Orton do the same to Kidman later. Orton, wearing trunks with an "E" in a big pink heart on the back, says he'll do that and worse to Kidman. He says Kidman's lucky to be getting a match with the STUD, and that after tonight's match, he'll be hitting up 04 once again for a little victory celebration! They guys all egg him on about it, and Jericho says it's GREAT to be back with his boys again...and now that he's back, the Horsemen are going to take it to the next level. The guys all celebrate and drink to the former-champ's words, and the door opens up...IN WALKS ADAM LASKOWSKI! The crowd pops as he berates Orton and RVD for drinking anything when they both have matches coming up, and says he is very disappointed in both of them. He says now that that SCUMBAG Jericho's back (Jericho is pissed), they're picking up their old habits again...and he embarrasses Orton by saying Erica told him what what a gentleman he was the other night on their date, picking on him for putting on an act in front of the "big boys." He doesn't want to see the Horsemen doing anything questionable tonight, meaning don't get involved in ANY of eachother's matches, or she'll DQ them on the spot and suspend whoever interfered! He storms out, and the Horsemen are stunned and confused at what just happened. "GLAD TO SEE YOU AGAIN, TOO!" yells Jericho, sarcastically.
-Kane (w/Bearer) v. Taker -- Inferno Cage Match
-(GONG!) The Veteran Theme hits and Taker comes out without the motorcycle to a big pop from the crowd. He looks serious, maybe worried. Still, he raises his arm when he steps into the ring, and everyone pops for him. (BOOOM!) Kane and Paul Bearer walk down the ring to boos from the crowd, Bearer's squealing voice talking to the camera and fans all the way down about how great Kane is and how "the Deadman's gonna' DIE!" etc. The brothers stare at eachother, Kane on the outside, Taker standing in the ring. Kane climbs in and raises his arms, making the turnbuckles explode, as always, to a mild pop. Ever notice people always pop for fireworks? Anyway, the ref tells Bearer to back up as the cage lowers. The crowd buzzes with excitement as a slightly thicker, black, roofless cage is lowered around the ring. Once it is locked in place the ref holds up a remote with a button, presumably to start the flames. The people cheer, and the ref hits the button...but nothing happens! He looks confused, shrugs to the crowd, and Bearer shrieks, demanding to know what the problem is. The ref shows Bearer the button through the bars, and Bearer yells to Kane, who nods, raises his arms, and WHIPS them down, CAUSING THE CAGE TO LIGHT INTO AN INFERNO INSTANTLY! Bearer laughs, as the referee, who was near the bars, holds his eyes after being apparently burnt in the Inferno ignition. The ref is down, but Bearer forces the man to ring the bell, starting the contest to a pop from the fans. During the match, officials, including 03, try to figure out how to get the ref out...and get a new one in. Kane and Taker begin a slow, brawling match, and Kane soon takes the advantage, beating down his brother. Kane picks up Taker, then throws him towards the ropes and the flaming cage wall on the other side, not far from the ring! He follows Taker and clotheslines him, sending himself over too, but landing on his feet. He tries to power Taker's face into the flames, but Taker resists, struggling to stay back. Kane punches his brother repeatedly, picks him up, and irish whips the Taker down into the corner of the flaming cage! Taker's back catches fire, and the crowd screams, like they would when their hero is set on fire. Kane tilts his head back and laughs, then picks up the rolling Undertaker (rolling to put out the flames) and screams into his brother's face, "NOW YOU'LL KNOW MY PAIN!!" Taker spits in Kanes eyes, to a pop from the crowd, and causing Kane to let him drop so he can wipe his eyes through the mask. Taker gets to his feet, obviously in pain, and knees Kane to the gut! Crowd is behind Taker, who tosses Kane into the ring and follows him in. Taker picks Kane up, holds him above his head for a Gorilla Press, then THROWS KANE INTO THE FIERY CAGE 4 FEET AWAY! Kane lands near the cage, rolling in pain, and his arm catches fire! Taker heads out with a chair, then screams, "I'LL HELP PUT THAT OUT FOR YOU, KANE!" He nails Kane hard with the chair, then whacks the Big Red Machine until the flames go out and Kane is not moving on the floor. Taker gets back into the ring and showboats for the crowd, who cheers him...but the cheers turn to gasps of horror as Kane SITS UP! Kane climbs back into the ring and charges Taker from behind. He hits a bodyslam on Taker, then heads to the top to boos and laughter from Paul Bearer, for a leaping clothesline as Taker tries to get up! Kane is winning, and Bearer holds up the urn, cackling! Kane stands above Taker, then signals for the CHOKESLAM! It looks like it's all over...when Goldust runs from the back, knocking over big, fat Bearer to a pop from the crowd, and taking the urn! Kane, holding Taker in the air, sees Goldust and shakes his head to tell Goldust not to do anything with it, but Goldust angrily begins smashing the urn against the flaming cage wall! Kane drops his brother, and falls to one knee, as Goldust gets a running start and SMASHES THE URN AGAINST THE CAGE SO HARD IT KNOCKS A HOLE OUT OF THE CAGE WALL! Adam and the officials order Goldust to the back to boos from the crowd. Taker gets up with a devilish smile, and signals for the Last Ride! Now, with Bearer and the Urn both destroyed, the Dark Power has no vessal to get to Kane, says Mark, explaining what's happening to Kane. Adam orders a ref to get in there, and one steps up on the Spanish announce table and leaps head-first through the flaming hoop! The crowd pops as the ref gets into the ring in time to witness Taker hitting a DEVASTATING...THE LAST RIDE!...on Kane! Taker folds up Kane's arms in his, dark Taker way of doing things and the ref counts 1...2...KANE KICKS OUT!! The crowd is crushed, Taker is shocked...until he sees the laughing face of Paul Bearer mocking him from outside the cage, holding the urn! Kane sits up behind Taker again, spins him around, and hits a CHOKESLAM for the 1, 2...3. Mark yells that Kane and THAT DAMN Dark Power have stolen a win from the Undertaker, who kicks out just after the 3-count and is VERY visibly angry with himself. The cage goes out and begins to rise. Kane and Bearer stumble back up the ramp, Bearer screaming and laughing that "I TOLD YOU SO! YOU CAN'T DEFEAT KANE, UNDERTAKER! YOU'RE NO MATCH FOR KANE!!!" Taker looks at them angrily, then puts his head down on the turnbuckle in disgust. The crowd cheers for him, chanting "TA-KER, TA-KER!"...and he looks up, nods to the crowd, then raises his arm. The crowd pops as Taker plays to them and heads to the back.
-Triple B (Backstage Babe Britcher) stops Paul Bearer (Kane keeps walking) and asks just what the HELL is in that urn? "The urn is the tool into which I summon the DARRRRRK POOOOOWWWWERRRR to make Kane INVINCIBLE! Taker knew it before the match, you saw how saaaaaaad he looked as he walked to the riiiiiiiiing!!! HE KNEW HE COULDN'T BEAT KANE! NO ONE CAN BEAT KANE! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Bearer turns around to see Big Show staring him dead in the eyes! Ashley backs out of the way, and Show yells through his teeth, "BEARER...TELL YOUR BOY KANE I AIN'T AFRAID OF NO GHOSTS...AND I'LL FACE HIM ANYTIME, ANYWHERE!!" Bearer is pissing hmself in fear, and Show laughs at him and walks away to a POP FROM THE FANS!! Show smiles, then asks Ashley, "Is this what you meant by picking on someone my own size?" She smiles back, "Show, if you're the one to finally beat Kane...I can GUARANTEE you those fans will love you!" Crowd pops, Taker walks by..."Show, do yourself a favor and give up now. You can't beat Kane. I...I couldn't. No one can." Crowd boos! Show hears it, points towards the crowd. "You hear them, Taker? You hear those people booing you for being a COWARD? THEY think I can beat Kane!" (POP!!) "Your funeral," says Taker, as he walks off. "Luckily, there's an Undertaker handy! HA HA HA!" laughs Show. Ashley says, "Um...Paul? Do us a favor...leave the comedy to someone else?" "Oh, sorry." He leaves to a pop and a laugh from the crowd, and a smiling BBB sends it to Mark and King.
-In the back, Orton walks in to Erica's office. "You wanted to see me, 'Ms. Kowal?'" he asks, jokingly.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Yeah, Randy. I just wanted to tell you I had a great time with you this weekend. You really surprised me, treated me like a lady."
"Of course! Did you expect any less from the STUD?" (Female pop.)
"Well, truthfully, yeah, I expected a LOT less. However...once you got back here again, you started with that cocky attitude and the foul mouth of yours."
"What the f*ck are you talking about?"
"(Sigh.) Randy, I'd like to take you up on your offer to get together tonight after the show, but I just don't feel I can trust you when you change so quickly. I mean, Saturday, you were telling me how beautiful my eyes are, picking me up in limos, all that great stuff. Then on Monday, when I didn't come to Explosion because of a family emergency, you made a crude sex joke about me. Look, I know it's just you clowning around and trying to get under the fans' skin, but...it makes me think twice about spending time with you."
"But...but, Erica...well, look. I'm really interested in you, but around here, back with the Horsemen...we have a certain..."reputation" to keep up. I have a reputation to hold up...I'm a Stud! I'm a lady-killer! I'm the Prime Champion, baby! I'm the baddest and the best, hands-down."
"I agree that you're an amazing champion, and a great athlete, but...I don't know how serious you are sometimes when you talk to me."
"I'm as sure about you as I am about kicking anybody's ass in the damn ring!"
"Hmm...is that so, Randy?"
"Absolutely. And you KNOW I never lie about being great in the ring."
"That's true. Well, how about this. If you beat Kidman tonight, I'll go out with you again after the show to celebrate, like you asked. If not...never again, Randy. It's over."
"What? You mean all I have to do is beat Billy fuc...sorry...freakin' KIDMAN?! Then Erica, start getting ready for that night on the town now, because it's as good as done!"
"Ha ha...we'll see, tough guy. Now do me one last favor."
"What's that?"
"Get out of my office."
(Orton leaves, smiling. Erica laughs as he leaves, then shakes her head. In walks MELISSA JOHNSON to a pop!)
"Erica, we need to talk about his...I've been watching lately, and I just saw what was going on in here. Look, it's a conflict of interest for you to be dating one of the superstars. It just has to STOP."
"What? Melissa, it's harmless! We only get together on our own time, and I'm not letting it effect my work at all. In fact, if you've been watching the Angel Division lately, you'll notice I've been busting my ass EXTRA hard to bring new faces in! And it's bigger than ever! Explosion's been great, I'm making good decisions...I don't think it's effecting my work at all."
"Well...okay. But I'll have Shane keep his eye on you two. If he sees even a HINT of special treatment going to Orton over the other wrestlers, you'll be fired on the spot and replaced by another co-Chairperson. Am I making myself clear about this?"
"Y-yes, Melissa. I swear, I'll keep the business and personal separate."
"Great! Then otherwise, keep up the good work. Explosion kicks ASS!"
"Ha ha ha. Thanks, glad I kicked Adam in HIS ass to come and get this thing started!"
"What match is next?"
"Oh, that would be Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn in the first match of the Best of 5 Series to settle that old score! It's for the Legend Title, should be amazing!"
"If the rest of the night is any indication, it will be. Remember what I said, you're being watched." (Miss leaves.)
"Jeez...she can be such a BITCH!"
(Crowd pops, then Lynn's theme hits and the pop gets bigger!)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-RVD v. Jerry Lynn -- Legend Championship, Best of 5 Series: Match One
-Nothing to report on this one. It has SNOOZE-FEST written all over it, so I'll just cancel it and move on to the...wait a minute...this is going to be the BEST MATCH EVER! And what's better, there will be at least 2 more, until one of the men wins 3 in the series and is named the TRUE whole f'n show! In ECW, RVD wrestled as the "WHOLE" F'N SHOW, while Lynn took on (after earning it through GREAT matches) the nickname of the "NEW" F'N SHOW. The two had great, epic battles, using moves the likes of which the wrestling world had never seen, breaking noses, finishing matches for another 15 minutes with a concussion and being mildly unconcsious...and they were very evenly matched, which is a HUGE compliment for both men. Now, Lynn stands in the ring, watching Van Dam make his entrance to the Horsemen Theme, the crowd equally split behind both men. There are a lot of RVD fans out there, but Lynn is a great talent, and many would like to see him embarrass Van Dam for being involved with the Horsemen, teaching him a little respect again! RVD shows off in the ring, the crowd chants his name as it is announced, and he is hopping around, ready. Lynn is poised, confident, and laid-back. The bell rings, the crowd pops, and the two lock up! After a power struggle and Test of Strength that goes back and forth, Lynn and Van Dam trade a series of holds and reversals, bringing the crowd to its feet and prompting a round of applause as the men stop and stare eachother down. They go for another lockup, and Van Dam gets the best of us, putting Lynn in a headlock. Lynn pushes Van Dam to the ropes, ducks Van Dam's clothesline on the way back, then catches Rob with his feet off the rebound for a monkey-flip that sends Rob flying to the ropes, which he CATCHES and swings around like a 619, leaping back into the ring and staring down Lynn again to an ovation from the crowd! The third lock-up begins, and the wrestlers take turns tripping eachother up, trying to hit elbows and leg drops and rolling thunders, all missing and quickly segue-ing into the next move in the sequence! It's great action, the crowd is big into it, and Van Dam finally jumps over one of Lynn's foot-sweeps, landing on his feet, and kicking Lynn hard to the back of the head! He hits a rolling thunder for a 2-count, and the match continues in his favor for a while. Lynn begins a comeback, and goes outside for a chair. The ref tells him not to use it and grabs the chair. Van Dam takes the chair out of the ref's hands, then the ref grabs it back. The chair slips with the force of yanking it from Van Dam, and lands in the grasp of Lynn, who tosses it back at RVD and follows up with a leaping dropkick that slams the chair hard into the face of the Legend Champion. Van Dam holds his head in pain, as Lynn takes to the top. He leaps off to hit a Frog Splash, but Van Dam puts his knees up and blocks the move, knocking the wind out of Lynn and giving him the opportunity to take control of the match. He drags Lynn to the corner, sets him up against the post, and grabs the chair again. He hops up on the post across the ring, leaps into the air, and SMASHES LYNN WITH A VAN TERMINATOR!! Mark and King scream at the insane move, and the replay shows Van Dam FLYING across the ring, and still kicking the chair into Lynn's limp body! Amazing stuff, Van Dam takes to the top, and hits the Frog Splash to a BIG pop and rolls Lynn up for the pin. The ref signals for the bell to ring, and DQ's RVD for his use of the chair! Lynn has won the first match in the Best of 5 Series, but does not win the Legend Title tonight. The fans clap for Lynn as he gets to his feet, and RVD is angry and shouting at the ref, when Lynn trips him up from behind and scurries out of the ring before RVD can get up to retaliate. It's a PUNK-tuation mark for Lynn, who laughs at the fuming Rob Van Dam as he heads up the ramp to a nice pop and round of applause. RVD argues with the ref, then heads up the ramp, angrily.
BBB: Rob, can I ask you a question?
RVD: Make it quick.
BBB: What are your feelings upon losing this first match to Jerry Lynn?
RVD: Okay, listen. I was CHEATED tonight, okay? EVERYONE out there saw that I should've won that damn match, and Lynn used the chair first when he kicked me in the face with it. (Rubs his jaw.)
BBB: Well, yeah, but YOU were holding it at the time, so it wasn't really HIM using the weapon.
RVD: Huh?
BBB: Yup. The way I see it, you hit yourself with a chair. Ha ha ha.
RVD: (Irate.) DON'T YOU EVER, DISRESPECT ROB VAN DAM AGAIN!
BBB: Oh, I'm just messing with you. You looked so miserable, I thought I'd try to cheer you up a little with a joke.
RVD: The only thing that's cheering me up is that I still have this Legend Title, and the thought of HOW BAD I'm gonna' KILL Lynn next time we step in that ring! In fact...I can't wait till the next Pay Per View...I want him TOMORROW NIGHT, Match Two, live on Explosion! (Storms off.)
BBB: There you have it. Rob hit himself in the face with a chair, is a sore loser, can't take a joke, and is hoping for a rematch tomorrow night. Where else can you get this kind of in-depth look at your favorite wrestlers? Ha ha! Back to you, Mean Mark.
K: MAN, she has no idea what she's doing back there...but she sure is CUTE! HAHA!
M: Definitely cute, King, especially after that laser hair-removal process on her lip prior to her first appearance on ICW Explosion! Coming up next is ANOTHER exciting match, with Mighty Molly the superhero Angels Champ taking on Ivory, who made her debut 2 weeks ago and beat a returning Jazz in a great match to earn the chance to win the Angel Title tonight!
K: Wow, Ms. Kowal's really pushing Ivory and Jazz hard to have a No. 1 Contender's Match their first night on Explosion!
M: Well, with Trish and Victoria off making out in Maui and Molly having beaten Gail Kim 2 weeks ago, I'd say she had no other choice!
K: Maybe, but it'll be an incredible match anyway, Ivory is an intense, intense woman with BIG puppies.
M: Oh, jeez.
(IVORY THEME...crowd boos her, she comes down with an attitude, loves herself.)
-Molly v. Ivory -- Angel Prime Championship
-Molly and Ivory put on a technically-sound women's match with some great spots. The crowd is squarely behind Might Molly, and Ivory plays heel and curses at the fans all night, cheating whenever possible, and controlling much of the match. The two use a lot of interesting holds and Molly takes to the air a few times, but Ivory ends up being too much for her. Ivory hits a Powerbomb that looks like a front Icon Effect for the win and becomes the new Angel Prime Champion! Molly gets up in pain and pouts cutely, and (THERE'S A HURRICANE COMIN' THROUGH!) Hurricane joins her in the ring! They haven't been face-to-face in a long time, and Hurricane asks her where she's Hurri-been! Molly is still upset about losing the title, and Hurricane poses, grabs her by the hand, and they smile and run off together! The Superpowers are together again! However, Ivory has the belt, so ha ha to them. You didn't think I'd let a show go by without the Hurricane getting a pop, did you? What's up wit' that?!
-Randy Orton w/Erica Kowal (c) v. Billy Kidman -- Prime Championship
-THE BIG FINALE! At the end of an AMAZING night and a card packed with MIND-BLOWING matches, the match for the biggest prize in the game looks like a solid match if there ever was one. Orton basically stole the Prime Title out of Kidman's hands during the 6-Man Armageddon Hell in a Cell on the first episode of Explosion, when he took advantage of a the fact that Kane had just chokeslammed Taker off the cage and through the Spanish announce desk at ringside and run in for the quick pin. Kane hadn't even had the chance to climb down the cage and Kidman had just leapt into the air to hit a finishing Moonsault on the Hurricane inside the ring...and that crafty Horseman capitalized and won the belt, high-tailing it out of there before Kidman could do anything (Kane had been distracted by the Undertaker sitting up outside the ring). After a confrontation, Orton signed this match viewing it as a joke, believing he's the best around and is pretty much unbeatable, especially by Billy Kidman. While Kidman has held titles before on Revolution and back in WCW, he is hardly accepted as main event caliber...however, tonight, he's out to prove to the world that he's more than ready to run with the big dogs. With the rest of the Horsemen stuck in the back after Adam's threat of suspension, Orton has a lot to prove as well. He's got the goods...but can he show the world he deserves to hold the most prestigious title on Explosion?
(KIDMAN THEME!!)
Kidman comes out, excited, looking ready to rock. The crowd shows him some love and he enters the ring and raises his arms high on a turnbuckle to a nice pop. Orton comes to the ring next, to the Horsemen theme, and he stops at the top of the entranceway, turns around and introduces a special guest...ERICA KOWAL! The crowd boos her for being with him, but she has a mic and explains that she's only out to get a good view of the main event! Kidman accompanies her to a seat at ringside, where she shakes hands with some adoring young fans in the audience and gets comfy for the match. Orton, in the ring, winks at her, then flexes to a big female pop, but mostly boos from the Horsemen haters.
Kidman doesn't wait for Orton to stop showing-off, and he charges the showboating Prime Champion, knocking him down with BIG force and keeping the beatings coming. Kidman takes out his frustrations on Orton, beating his head against the mat and locking in a hold where Kidman pulls Orton up by his arms while STANDING ON THE STUD'S BACK!! It's insane-looking, and the crowd pops. The ref asks Orton if he wants to quit, but Orton screams "NO!!!" so the match continues, the hold stays on, and Orton is in a really bad spot, unable to pull himself to safety. Kicking his legs and attempting to make Kidman lose his balance and let go of the hold isn't working, and Orton is red in the face and in sheer torture ALREADY! The crowd starts chanting "TAP! TAP!" and Orton is suffering...cut to a shot of a worried Erica Kowal, who looks sick watching the whole thing. She can't take anymore and starts to climb into the ring, but the ref spots her and goes over to stop her. Kidman pulls back on the hold, and Orton passes out! Kidman looks down, noticing Orton is out, and lets go of the hold. He goes for the cover, but the ref is still distracted by Erica leaving the ring.
Kidman gets frustrated and grabs the ref, pointing out Orton, and the ref instead begins yelling at Kidman for laying his hands on him. Kidman puts his hands up and when he is finally let turn around, hooks Orton's leg and goes for the pin. The ref counts to two, but Orton KICKS OUT! It's been too long, and Kidman is pissed. He picks Orton up, whips him to the corner, then begins to climb the turnbuckles. Kidman pulls Orton up, looks around at the crowd (which starts to cheer for a big move that is obviously coming), and hoists Orton up for a LEAPING SIT-DOWN POWERBOMB! Orton is rolling in pain, barely conscious, and Kidman goes for the pin, only to find Orton is too close to the ropes. Outside, Erica claps and yells "YES!" as Orton grabs the rope and escapes another serious pinfall attempt...and then flinches as Kidman points to her, then DROPS Orton with a harsh DDT! Orton is laid-out, and Erica looks stunned. She grabs a cell phone from her pocket and holds it up to her hear. Kidman, meanwhile, is being cheered BIG as he heads to the top and calls for the MOONSAULT!! He's UP...and...he NAILS A PERFECT MOONSAULT ON ORTON! He sells his impact from the move, then begins to move in for what is SURE to be the pinfall to end this match!
From the back, Chris Jericho runs to the ring, then attacks the ref at the second count of the pinfall, breaking it up and saving Orton again! Adam enters at the top of the stage with police and orders them to take Jericho out of there. Jericho hides under the ring, but the police drag him out, kicking and screaming, and continue to drag Y2J up the ramp. Kidman, frustrated but unable to win due to the lack of a referee, sits on the turnbuckle as Orton lies in a heap in the middle of the ring. 03 comes to ringside and accuses Erica of calling in Jericho to interfere, and she says it rang and she answered it, that's all! Adam remains at ringside, angry, and picks up a mic.
"I told you not to interfere, Horsemen. Jericho, you're out for 3 months anyway, so I can't suspend you...which is probably why you thought you could get away with this, but NO WAY! I'm taking it out on your little buddies tomorrow night on EXPLOSION! This has been one of the greatest PPV's of all-time, and I'm not about to let it end on a bad note! Erica, I can't tell you to leave ringside, but I CAN tell you not to get involved with this match in ANY WAY, or Melissa Johnson will have your ASS tomorrow night! Now, let's get a new ref in here and get the damn match underway!"
A new ref runs to the ring, where Kidman gets down off the top turnbuckle perch and heads for Orton, who GRABS KIDMAN, AND ROLLS HIM UP!! 1, 2..KICK OUT, and Erica is pissed outside. She yells at the ref for counting too slow, and Kidman gets to his feet and flips her off! Erica glares at him and begins yelling at him, allowing Orton to sneak in from behind, spin Kidman around, and hit him with the COMPLETE SHOT! Kidman is down, and Orton celebrates in front of the BOOING FANS, then goes for a cocky, one-foot cover. Kidman kicks out, and Orton takes control of the match for a while. Erica cheers Orton on, and he goes for another Complete Shot after a few minutes of beating on Kidman, only to have Kidman reverse it and hit Orton with a NECKBREAKER! Erica is shocked, and Kidman gets to his feet to a THUNDERING POP from the fans! He heads to the top, calls for a Moonsault, and...Erica, Chairwoman of ICW Explosion, Icon 04...runs over and shakes the turnpost, causing Kidman to get a shaky jump and MISS the Moonsault, landing badly. The audience boos, Adam comes back out and begins to argue with her, and she SLAPS 03 across the face! Adam, surprised, grabs Erica, tosses her over his Iconic shoulder, and carries her up the ramp, kicking and screaming like Jericho! The crowd loves it and is cheering him, but in the ring, Orton has managed to cover Kidman. The ref counts it...1, 2...3! Randy Orton remains Prime Champion after a one-sided contest that should've ended in Kidman's favor at least 3 times. Orton is joined by Benoit and RVD, who all stomp on poor Billy Kidman! Adam runs down to the ring, accompanied by his bodyguards, the Paynes, and the Horsemen clear out of the ring! He takes a mic.
"Horsemen...you put a black mark on this night. Erica, what you did is unforgivable. I won't tolerate this kind of behavior around here, this kind of chaos! Benoit, Van Dam...tomorrow night, you'll suffer for what Jericho did...when you face...THE PAYNES IN A BARBED-WIRE MATCH!"
(Benoit and Van Dam are stunned, unable to speak, looking like they're about to faint as the Paynes climb up on the turnbuckles on and beat their chests, roaring! The crowd flips out for the announcement!! Kidman walks over and leans on the ropes next to Adam, catching his breath.)
"And I'm not done! Orton, you're a good wrestler, but you're a FLUKE champion! And I won't have that, you've won the title TWICE like this, and BOTH TIMES from Billy Kidman! Well, tomorrow night, Kidman, here, will get a rematch. And just to make sure no one can interfere, I'm making it a STEEL CAGE MATCH, with a special referee...MY CLOSE, PERSONAL FRIEND...SOMEONE YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IN A LONG TIME...
...ICON 02, TONY SADOWSKI!!
(The arena ERUPTS!!)
Mark puts over Tony being on Explosion tomorrow night, and King plays heel, saying he should just stay home where he belongs. The Horsemen throw a tantrum on the ramp, and Adam and the Paynes celebrate in the ring as the announcers sign off from an excellent PPV event! Ignition is in the books.
