WHEN WE LAST LEFT EXPLOSION, TONY, VINCE AND THE ENFORCERS HAD TAKEN OVER. CHRIS BENOIT IS THE SEEMINGLY UNBEATABLE, IMPOSSIBLY GOOD PRIME CHAMPION. ERICA WAS NAMED CHAIRWOMAN OF ICW CHAOS, AND A VAST CONSPIRACY WAS UNVEILED BY 02 AND VINNIE MAC. NOW, ALLIANCES ARE QUESTIONABLE UNDER THIS UNSTOPPABLE AND BRILLIANT NEW REGIME, AND WITH AGGRESSION UNDER THE RULE OF STEPHANIE AND HHH, EVEN THE NEW THREAT OF STACY KIEBLER HASN'T PUT A DAMPER ON THINGS FOR THE NEW POWERS-THAT-BE.
ED MOORHOUSE AND ADAM LASKOWSKI WERE BOTH BEATEN DOWN AND KICKED OUT, AND HAVEN'T BEEN SEEN OR HEARD FROM IN SOME TIME. WE START OFF ON CHAOS, WHERE, AS UNBELIEVABLE AS IT SOUNDS, BUSINESS IS JUST STARTING TO PICK UP.
IN THE WEEKS LEADING UP TO LETHAL INJECTION (AND THE MONTH AFTER, WHICH WILL BE AN EXPLOSION-EXCLUSIVE PPV)...AS NUTS AS ICW HAS BEEN ALREADY, WE HAVEN'T EVEN SCRATCHED THE SURFACE!
=========================================
ICWE Week 3: ----------------------
-Explosion/Chaos logo airs, then we fade up on Tony and Vince in the office.
-"This is going great, Big Shot. I have to hand it to you, it's nice working with someone who's truly on my level for a change." "Yeah, Vince. I've worked with a lot of people in ICW, and I have to tell you, the best by far is --" (KNOCK ON DOOR.) Tony opens is and is greeted by a big hug from ICON 01, ED MOORHOUSE!! The crowd pops like crazy, 01 and 02 are both on Explosion! Ed is welcomed in by Tony and Vince, handshakes all around. Ed compliments them on the take-over, it was PERFECT. However, Ed has a favor to ask the new power players. 01 wants Tony's help with Aggression (to get him back in control). Tony wants him back in, but Vince disagrees, happy w/ Steph and HHH in control. Tony argues she can't be trusted, Vince says he's got his little girl under control this time, this is no WWE angle, and he has 100% confidence that Thursday night will NOT disappoint 02! Vince and Tony are planning an ICW monopoly...and Vince says, "Why don't you tell him the truth, Tony? That Ed Moorhouse has NO PLACE in our plans for ICW! Did you forget to mention that to your best friend? Huh? We can't complicate things now, we're too far along!" Ed's pissed, Tony tries to explain, Ed storms out. Dun dun DUNNNNN...Tony says he knows they can't change the plans now, but that he never did this to be the bad guy, he's doing it to help ICW...and he's having second thoughts about having Steph and HHH without checks and balances on Aggression. Vince assures Tony that Steph and Trips are totally on the same page, and after Thursday night, he'll never even THINK the name Ed Moorhouse again!
-Explosion intro and theme, we come up on a HOT crowd! This is an insane time in ICW! Mean Mark and the King welcome the fans, but are interrupted by...
-Big Show! He's here, looking okay after the burning by Kane at the last PPV, and says he can't wrestle tonight, but will be cleared for Lethal Injection. He's here to ask RVD if he will officially be his partner against Kane/Taker at the PPV. (ONE OF A KIND!) Crowd pops, then boos as RVD doesn't come out...that's...that's THE UNDERTAKER! He's mocking RVD! He's pointing to himself, smirking, as he comes to the ring. He enters the ring and gets into it with Show, and out comes KANE! Kane and Taker beat down Show...until VAN DAMN REALLY DOES COME OUT TO MAKE THE SAVE! Using his speed to kick them out of the ring, he helps up Show, grabs the mic, and says, "Big Show...I'd be GLAD to help you KICK THEIR ASSES STRAIGHT BACK TO HELL AT LETHAL INJECTION!" Whee!
-There's an uprising starting...and it's an Anti-Chaos movement! Many were happy with Adam's work as Chairman...and Hitman, the most bold and outspoken (with nothing really to lose...knows he's done-for with Vince in charge), doesn't want Vince in charge. Bret is vocally critical of the new regime, and it is overheard by Infinity, who happens to be nearby, unseen. The Paynes are with Bret on it, of course. They already have heat with the Enforcers/Tony (and a match tonight). He snickers to himself, then mutters something like, "Ah, Hitman...it'll be fun making an example out you." The confident Infinity walks off to boos from the crowd, his metallic arm plates glistening in lights...
(Break! An ad for ICW: TOTAL WARFARE for all major game systems airs, and it looks great! This game will be the "official sponsor of Lethal Injection!")
-Dudleys v. Young Blood, rushed to NEXT WEEK, PRE-PPV! Dudleys don't care when, just so they get their shot, and they vow to send Cena, Orton and Haas into the PPV , where they'll face the Establishment in an Elimination Chamber...broken, beaten LOSERS!
-Hart v. Tazz...Tazz puts up a great fight...Hart locks on the Sharpshooter...but Tazz won't tap! In the move for a good 2 minutes, constantly trying to escape, crowd into it...out run THE ENFORCERS! Oddly, they beat down Tazz, and the bell rings...meaning Tazz wins by DQ! THEY SCREWED BRET! Bret tries to fight back, but can't withstand the awesome foursome. They head back up the ramp, Hart in pain, Tazz looking up, in intense pain, cursing them with what breath he has left! He calls for a mic, then struggles to his feet. "I'm sorry about this, Bret. You deserve better, and I swear I had nothing to do with it. I'd rather lose than win this way!" (HBK THEME!) Huh? Shawn comes out, patiently waiting for the Enforcers to pass.
HBK calmly walks to the ring and snatches the mic from Tazz. "You know, you didn't get a chance to face a 100% ready to RUMBLE Heartbreak Kid last week...and you stole the title shot against Benoit at Lethal Injection, whatever. All I want right now, Tazz...is a FIGHT. One-on-one, in any kind of match your little cube head can dream up to prove last week was a fluke and that ol' HBK really should've been in a rematch against Hart tonight!" Tazz is uber-pissed, accepts because he has the Prime Title Match at Showdown no matter what. Tazz then says he wants Michaels in a SUBMISSION MATCH, next week! Michaels complains, says it's not fair...and Tazz replies..."Then you'd better STUDY UP, Michaels...because that's the match type he chooses...so BEAT ME IF YOU CAN, SURVIVE...IF I LET YOU!!
====================================================
ICWE: Week 4 ----------------------
-Dudleys v. Young Blood (c)
-Dudleys put up a good fight against the young'uns, and show them a trip through downtown Dudleyville so intense that they appear to have the match wrapped-up! Suddenly, Orton escapes the 3D by wriggling out, and shoves D-Von into a charging Bubba! The crowd pops for him big as he hits an RKO on the stunned Bubba and goes for the 1, 2 --- WHAT THE HELL?! THAT'S SHANE DOUGLAS! He just pulled the referee outside the ring! That bastard! The Establishment comes out and attacks the rest of the Young Blood trio as the ref finishes yelling at the Franchise. When the ref gets back inside the ring, D-Von hits the "WHAZZUP!" to the nuts of Orton and gets the 3! Your winners...and NEEEEEEEEEEEEW ICWE Tag Team Champions...The DUDLEY BOYS! The crowd HATES it, those heel Dudleys were helped out by fellow established wrestlers...and the Young Blood leaves beaten, dejected, and without the Tag belts...
(Commercial.)
-Vince congratulates the Dudleys in the back. He also announces a special bonus gift for them. Since their little brother, Spike, hasn't defended his title in a while and won't be at Lethal Injection...we'll be having ANOTHER major title defense tonight on Explosion. Fusion Champion Spike Dudley...in a TRIPLE THREAT...versus SHELTON BENJAMIN...and...CHARLIE HAAS! The Bros. Dudley laugh about it, pat Vince on the back for it, then go off to drop some bombshells.
-Hart is talking to someone about a match, but we only see him on camera ...not his guest (he gets a big pop!). "Sounds great, thank you for coming in and actually making a level-headed decision around here!" "It's the least I could do, Bret...and it's only the beginning," says a familiar voice...the camera pans to reveal CEO Melissa Johnson! She signs the requested match...a PPV rematch of Michaels/Hart!! She mentions his rebellion against Tony and Vince, saying she supports anyone who does something for the good of the company (slyly giving her support to Hart in his uprising)! But she has news to deliver to them in person, so she excuses herself.
-Spike Dudley (c) v. Charlie Haas v. Shelton Benjamin
-Haas is hit early and laid-out under the ropes inside the ring for the whole match. Benjamin puts up a great fight, Spike, however, slips out of a move and hits the ACID DROP! He's celebrating, but while he is, Haas gets up and RUNS over, obviously playing dead, and pins Benjamin for the win! Spike is pissed he lost that way, the fans hate it...but Charlie Haas of the Young Blood is the new Fusion Champ! Pop! Spike is pissed, but Haas laughs his way to the back, holding his new title high!
-Tazz v. HBK, Submission Match
-Surprisingly, a clean ending! Good match, HBK trying his best, but Tazz proving superior at escaping technical holds and whatnot. Tazz wins it, offers a handshake, HBK shakes it, humbled...then answers with a SUPERKICK! BOOOO!
-Tony and Vince are pissed that Miss made a match on their show. They're trying to bury Hart, obviously. Also, HBK is really being a supporter of the new regime, and showed some "ruthless aggression" just now...so, it is decided that Tony will be special ref for that Hart/Michaels rematch at Lethal Injection, with the special enforcers at ringside being...appropriately, the Enforcers! The two laugh and pat themselves on the back, but the door SLAMS open, and in storms Melissa!! She confronts Tony/Vince, says not to be too proud of themselves...she'll be at Lethal Injection, and she'll make sure they realize she's still very much in charge of ICW. Just like she did on Aggression with the addition of Mick Foley, she's going to make them PAY for what they've done, and she has a BIG announcement at Lethal Injection concerning the future of ALL ICW BRANDS! She leaves with an intense look on her face, and they laugh it off...though they're obviously a bit shaken-up.
-RVD v. Billy Kidman
-RVD loses due to distraction of Taker/Kane watching from the stage. Damn them to hell! Mean Mark says they'll get what they deserve when they face RVD and Big Show at the PPV! Lawler replies, "Sure they will...a win!"
-Backstage Babe Ashley Britcher interviews Jerry Lynn, who is in a Prime Title Match next, facing Benoit. He congratulates Kidman on his cheap victory over RVD, and tells him he could never beat a competitor as good as Van Dam. Only a few men in this business are good enough to beat Rob Van Dam outright, and on Sunday, Kidman is facing one of them. Jerry Lynn, the real deal...will take you to school and show you why I'm not going to be your friend. I'm not going to forgive you for costing us that tag team match. I demand PERFECTION...and nothing less! No, rather, I'm going to use you as an EXAMPLE! To bigger and better things...leaving people like you in my dust! For now...I have a Prime Title to win.
-Chris Benoit (c) v. Jerry Lynn
-Lynn loses this stellar match, tapping to the Crippler Crossface. Benoit stands tall as the stern, heel Prime Champion, under a week from Lethal Injection! Tazz comes out to the ring, clapping for Benoit, then steps into the ring and the two have an epic staredown! The crowd, Mark and King are buzzing about that match! It'll be incredible!
